Inter Country Adoption

Barnet, as part of the North London Adoption and Fostering Consortium, has a contract with the Inter-country Adoption Centre, to undertake all enquiries regarding overseas adoption as well as carrying out adoption assessments and providing an advice line. Barnet is responsible for undertaking the welfare supervision of families once children enter the country. The Adoption and Post Permanency team will instruct an Independent Social Worker who has expertise in this area, to undertake the welfare supervision visits and prepare the Annexe A report for court.
